Zinio

Starting today, subscription purchases on Zinio.com may offer automatic continuous service. This means select subscriptions will automatically renew. No interruptions in service, and no need for reminders.

The above was included in a change of terms email from Zinio that I received on Sunday. It sounds so positive yet I can't help but translate that to "We have thought of a new way to make money and hope that some of you forget about your subscriptions." Is it just me?

I saw this info posted somewhere earlier and I don't think it's just you. Of course they hope you'll forget and they'll be able to automatically renew your subscriptions. I don't have any active Zinio subscriptions right now, although honestly this would not dissuade me if I want to subscribe again to anything. I'd just set a reminder to cancel at the end of the subscription term.

Keep in mind that they do send you a notice and they also let you cancel at any time and refund whatever is left on the subscription pro-rated to the number of magazines you have left. They are also very flexible in terms of back-dating a subscription by a few issues. So really, if you want to cancel something, all it takes is an email to support. And their support is very responsive.

Donald you might have seen it here: http://www.lostinmobile.com/home/zinio-to-automatically-renew-all-your-subscriptions-from-now.html ;o)

Don't think I've received an email about it, which is odd as I have a subscription.
