It always bugs me when web browsers are labelled "Internet," as if they were the same thing.

(Not suggesting that this is something particular to Joel)

You press that icon and it downloads the entire internetz.... LOL

I think that is a Samsung thing, not a default google thing, the default name on that icon (non samsung rom) is 'browser'.. Samsung just like to 'fix' things that don't need fixing, and I am too lazy to fix their fix...
