TomTom for Android: how not to launch an app

The release of TomTom for Android yesterday became a bit of a farce after so long waiting. The fact that it will only work on some devices is pretty poor and still it doesn't support the large iPhone 5 screen.

TomTom is my preference for navigation, mainly because of HD Traffic, but the company still make many errors in crucial areas. This thread sums up the initial user reaction to the Android release.

No one else seems to have had a problem with the larger screen adjustments, copilot included.

i've always had the feeling that tomtom have a pretty awful software development department...

Why would an Android app run on the iPhone 5, large screen or otherwise?!

"Why would an Android app run on the iPhone 5, large screen or otherwise?!"

Ho ho. It was a comment about the general slowness of TomTom mobile development.

From reading the TomTom forum it seems the Android release was way after it was intended. I guess they had to pare down the requirements to get something out there this year.

I've been there; not sure I'd have pared down that far though. Perhaps I've just never got myself in quite such a mess before.
