Probably more than I should. But to quantify it, maybe around 12. When I went to university, computer sciences left me there closer to 18 per day, which is probably why I am short sighted.
Too long - emerging theme here surprise surprise. asignificant amount of the working day, and most evenings at home.
Could do with the willpower to make more effort to do so less.
Eyesight deteriorating (but that's as much age as anything). Used to get quite sever headaches, but have now established that's not (I'm pretty sure) related.
10 to 12 hours a day. Not constant but pretty close. I work in the software industry and also spend quite a bit of time on my home system. No ill effects as far as I know. At least not that I can attribute directly to staring at a screen. I used to have a problem at work between the fluorescent lights and an older monitor. But after having them remove some of the overhead lights and getting a more modern LCD with good refresh rates, I haven't had any issue.
From 9.30 to 19.00 at work and bit more at home later at night. There was a time when I had a CRT screen at work and I felt issues with my eyes (blurry vision). I even used glasses for a while, but then it was replaced by a TFT one (top quality from Hannspree) and the impact on my eyes was huge. No more problems or glasses. As I work in detail (design) sometimes I get a bit tired after long hours, but I recover OK.

All day, every day. I work from home and when I'm not sat in front of the PC, I'm looking at an iPad or iPhone.
And I've developed a tick around my left eye! Most likely, it's because of all the LCD work.
The majority of my working day, and a fair bit of the evening although the latter is broken up with glances at the TV and my gf :o)
No ill effects as far as I'm aware, and at 41 I still don't need glasses.
Peter I've had a tick at times, but I'm sure it was related to how much sleep and caffeine I was having.
Far too many hours. I get tired eyes quite often.
Those with ticks should check the refresh rate on their monitors. If it's too low I've seen people develop ticks. It should be 60 or above.
