A quirky question today. How loud do you have the volume when you listen to music through headphones? Me- 8 or 9 out of 10. Always have, and always will. Pardon?
Yeah, I tend to run a little louder, but I learned in the studio that cutting it back occasionally helps with fatigue, so I turn down sometimes just for that alone. Being a musician, I know I've been exposed to volumes on stage that are louder than most folks are exposed to unless they work heavy construction or artillery. Mercifully I still have really good hearing. At least that's what the audiologist says when I go in for a hearing test.
Be careful with your ears and headphones, old man Shaun!
Probably around three-quarters. I used to have it higher with less-good earphones; my current ones have high sensitivity and cut out extraneous noise very nicely.
I have considered getting my ears syringed; it's not that I'm going deaf but after 41 years I reckon they're due a service.
Please do wish him well from me — as I say, after his illness, I stopped hearing from him, and I honestly thought that there only one reason for that, after what he'd been through. Genuinely thrilled that that's not the case.
I don't think I knew about his illness. Sorry to hear he went through a tough time; hopefully he's all sorted now. Next time I see him on Clove I'll pass on your regards :o)

My tube amp is either at 12 o'clock or somewhere up to 2 o'clock.
For me about midway mostly.
If your a member of Spinal Tap, then it would be 11.
your poor ears. Must have a degree of high frequency loss at that level.
What?

Depends what I'm listening to or what I'm doing. But the loudest on mine don't seem very loud. I've been thinking about getting some better earphones.
Not very loud, for the most part — I value my hearing!
1/3 or 1/4 of maximum output.

Ah yes... if I'm using the vacuum cleaner, it can be set higher :D

That makes you quite a bit older than I'd thought! Although perhaps unsurprising that mental images can be wrong.
about 3/4, but can depend on the song and the environment as I prefer to keep aware of my surroundings.
Neil, yes I try not to act it ;o)
Although you've actually known me since around 2004; remember the FirstLoox forums?
Yep, I remember the FirstLOOX connection, along with Mike P and Duncan. I was 20/21 at the time :)
Ahh so you're still a whippersnapper!
P8rson hangs out on the Clove blog fairly regularly these days, so he's still into the mobile arena.
I still have the FirstLOOX forum archive somewhere. I must make an effort to make it live again one day just for old times sake.
That's made my day, Bug - I thought Mike had passed away...
No he's definitely still around; we've discussed the importance of microSD slots and so forth at some length ;o)
Wait; does he owe you money? Hope I haven't blown his cover! ;o)
