If you had your phone taken away for one day, which single feature would you miss the most? I think it would be the podcasts facility for me. Seems trivial, but that’s the one I would miss on my trip to and from work.
Ability to keep in touch when I wanted. Could be email (although, since I'm in front of a computer so often, not a real problem) or a text message (although iMessage on the Mac could be done if needed) or a phone call (although I often use FaceTime in any case).
For me, my phone adds real value when I travel, rather than just being around the office - partly because I'm still enjoying keeping it on absolute silence and using it when suits me, and, as a result, I find I'm using it less...
I am not sure if I use it *every* day, but if I lost access to SplashID and I couldn't remember a password or PIN, then I would be inconvenienced. Otherwise, the agenda (appointments and to-do) is critical.
During the work week, I would miss access to my personal email the most. My to do list isn't that complex during the week. I have a calendar on my work laptop. I have a phone on my desk. I might miss a password from 1Password, but not for anything at work.
I'm like Graham. I would miss the agenda feature, since I tend to take note and "forget" so information won't take up space in my brain and I don't get stressed trying to remember loads of things...
Calls and texting are secondary to me. Actually I do appreciate if people could leave me alone for a bit ;)
Mobile internet (which includes Whatsapp, Skype, and Google translate etc.) + the agenda... but not the actual phone bit if you get what I'm getting at!
Agenda, Having to carry a book and music player (have a two hour journey when I work in the office) Internet (work for an US company so a lot of the internet is locked - virtually everyone in the office has a smartphone for that reason).

Calendar without a doubt. That was why I bought my first Palm and it's the one core feature I truly rely on.

Music. I am almost always plugged in. I'd have to crack out the old Discman!
No-one would miss the actual phone bit? ;o)

At home on the weekend, my to do list.

The PHONE.
e-mail would be second or first if you are disallowing the Phone function.
Let's not forget what it is to begin with - a Phone.
Agenda,
Having to carry a book and music player (have a two hour journey when I work in the office)
Internet (work for an US company so a lot of the internet is locked - virtually everyone in the office has a smartphone for that reason).
