PDair Leather Wallet for Apple iPhone 5 review
Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 2:59AM Cases for the iPhone 5 come in all shapes and sizes. From simple plastic cases that protect the edges to full wallets that are designed to let you replace two items that you carry all of the time with one, they all have a use and everyone has a specific preference.

My preference has always been for a wallet that can protect and offer complete access to the device at the same time, but this one is different. It offers space for credit cards and cash, but the iPhone itself is housed in its own compartment that means you have to remove it from the case to use it. Now, that may sound like a disadvantage and it does feel so at first, but after some time I started to realise that the system works quite well. For a start it stopped me from using my iPhone all of the time and secondly, there is an innate sense of protection whenever the phone is housed in the case.
The size is quite large, but not overwhelmingly so and again what may seem like a disadvantage can actually work the other way. My wife, for example, loves the design and feels that it would work better in her handbag than her current case. The only problem is that she now wants an iPhone 5 to go in the case! Anyway, the styling is less wallet than purse which may lend it to female iPhone 5 owners, but it blurs the lines between them and I wouldn't feel bad carrying it with me.

The quality is excellent, as can be seen by the near perfect stitching and the singular nature of the design means you will feel secure when carrying your expensive iPhone in such a case. I would rate it as good value with the precursor that you will have to like the way the case works to get the most out of it. It will not stand out and makes no pretensions to do so, but still looks good and has a quality feel all the way through.

I would guess that the majority of iPhone 5 owners would find many uses for this case such as when undertaking activities that require lots of protection or those times when carrying just one object makes more sense. It has certainly proved useful so far for me.
Available from PDair for $32.99.
